HOP-STEP was created as the result of an Independent Medical Education (IME) grant from GSK to Duke University. All content was developed independently under the direction of Dr. Megan Clowse of Duke University without input or review from GSK.

HOP-STEP respects the privacy of all visitors to our website. This website is intended solely for educational purposes. HOP-STEP provides information and resources to support providers and patients regarding various aspects of Lupus and pregnancy.

HOP-STEP does not collect identifying information about you (such as your name or email address) unless you voluntarily submit that information to us via email. We may, unless you indicate otherwise, edit, and excerpt your email for use in FAQs, presentations, workshops, etc, for educational and informational purposes. In these cases, we will not disclose any personally identifiable information and will remove any content that would specifically identify you as the writer of the email. In addition, any information you do submit via email will not be sold to any third parties.

HOP-STEP uses third party tools and services, such as Google Analytics, that may deploy cookies, pixel tags, or similar tracking technologies. We use this data to analyze website activity in order to make improvements to the information available, solicit further funding, use in academic manuscripts, and to increase the reach so that more providers and patients can learn about HOP-STEP as a resource.
